Courage and patience

Im Top Pick
this picture is from a colouring book I recently purchased for all the affirmations.
It was coloured with polychromos pencils and the background was coloured with pastels and pastel pencils
I found it a soothing page to colour and I believe that affirmations like this allow individuals to empathise with others as required it will probably end up on a card.

This card was made for a young man turning 18 he plays in a brass band so I decided to keep it pretty simple and music focused
1.The papers were from a free paper pack I got in a magazine years ago and never found a use for it fit the bill for this card perfectly
2. It was done from a sketch the 18 was diecut with my Cuttlebug using some cookie cutter dies I thought the size and the cut out circles would fit nicely on this card
3. The Happy birthday was a precut chipboard out of my stash I altered the colour with a gold sharpie
4.The music score along the bottom of the card was punched from my Fiskars Avantedge edge punch. It was cut from a metallic paper and run through my Xyron sticker maker.
5. In keeping with the music theme I hand cut the large musical note from the same kit as the papers
6. The horizontal strip and the diamond on which the sentiment is mounted both are printed with random musical notes
7. the black cardstock adhered to the card blank and the brown tones I felt were in keeping with the male theme
8. all papers were adhered with double sided tape in order according to the sketch.

the Icecream page

This page was created with this cute digi from my Besties in mind.  The bright colours in the photos were my colour inspiration for this layout
the digi was coloured with polychromos pencils and fussy cut before adhering to the background
The border was cut using a creative memories cutting plate as were the pink and yellow for my journalling box. This colourful cardstock has been in my stash for quite a while and was just what this page needed.
Everything was adhered to a yellow card keeping the colour scheme simple mostly yellow and pink
the sunflowers are from a stamp set that was stamped in multiples and coloured with staedtler triplus pens the extra icecream cones were also from a stamp set and the one on the far left below the digi is because my 6yr old granddaughter told me I needed a cute little icecream cone.
